When you use Make Safety Easy, we collect information you provide directly: your name, email address, company name, phone number, and any data you enter into the platform (incidents, inspections, safety talks, worker records).
We also automatically collect usage data including IP addresses, browser type, pages visited, and feature usage patterns to improve our service.
We use your information to: provide and maintain the platform, send notifications and alerts you've configured, generate reports and analytics, respond to support requests, send product updates and relevant communications, and improve our services.
Your data is stored on secure servers with enterprise-grade infrastructure. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.2+) for data in transit and AES-256 for data at rest. Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Each tenant's data is stored in a separate database, ensuring complete isolation between organizations.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. Upon account cancellation, we retain data for 90 days to allow for reactivation, after which it is permanently deleted. Regulatory compliance records may be retained longer as required by applicable law.
Make Safety Easy complies with applicable data protection regulations including GDPR (EU), PIPEDA (Canada), and CCPA (California). We obtain consent before collecting personal information, limit collection to what is necessary, and provide access to your data upon request.
