What is an FLHA?
A Field Level Hazard Assessment (FLHA) is a quick, systematic process for identifying hazards at the worksite before starting a task. It is required on most construction and industrial sites in Canada and recommended by OSHA in the US.
When to Use an FLHA
- Before starting any new task or activity
- When work conditions change (weather, equipment, personnel)
- When entering a new work area
- After any incident or near-miss
